The Trend Letter Flash Report for November 16

by Roger on November 17, 2008

Last night the TREND letter ($50 discount through this link only!) issued another Flash Report with information to help subscribers navigate these treacherous market waters.

Here are a couple of quotes:

Another serious factor that we are very focused on is the impact of hedge funds. From what we can determine there is currently approximately $400 billion of unit holder redemption requests to hedge funds. Now when you consider the leverage that hedge funds are invested at, we could easily see $800 billion+ of selling pressure in the capital markets just from that aspect alone in the next 6 weeks – that is huge selling pressure.

This is important information that needs to be watched closely, and the editors of the Trend Letter are doing that for us.

Interestingly, here is another quote that follows along the same lines as my article the other day What To Do Now That Your Portfolio Is In Ruins – Part 1

We strongly recommend that each subscriber take this time to asses your risk tolerance and decide what your hedge is for the worse case scenario. A year ago, we discussed that every investor has a “sleep factor” that must be considered. The sleep factor is your ability to sleep soundly with your current investment position. If your investment strategy is keeping you awake at night, look to adjust, so that you sleep better. Trying to catch the exact bottom, and then be all in, is gambling.

No one knows exactly how to invest at any given time, let alone now. So I do recommend getting several sources in your arsenal; including sources of information that you may not ordinarily agree with, but challenge your thinking!

I have profited from my investment in the Trend Letter investment newsletter over the last five years, and I think you will too.
