International Speculator Highlights Best Buy Stocks

Posted by Roger in August 6th 2008

The August edition of International Speculator titled “No Guts, No Glory” was just released yesterday and is a must read for anyone in the resource/precious metals sector of the stock market.

There is no doubt that this year’s Summer slump or “shopping season” has turned into a full blown rout. For anyone with any cash available this is a historic buying opportunity IMHO. I am looking for bargains myself and I really appreciate the “Best Buy” stock section in this month’s edition.

There are good stocks being sold for reasons having nothing to do with the company. In fact, this edition of International Speculator highlights two such stocks owned by London based hedge fund RAB Capital PLC which is selling anything with a bid to cover huge losses in its flagship fund. If RAB is forced to liquidate positions in these stocks there will be perhaps a last chance buying opportunity at terrific prices.

Other highlights of this month’s issue:

  • More on Naked Shorts
  • Anatomy of a Discovery
  • Stupidity Watch (one of my favorite features)
